COVID-19

Due to the challenging times we are living in, many customers are understandably nervous about what the experience of eating out will be like. We hope that the following FAQ’s will assist:-

When does the Cott Inn re-open?
We open at 12:00 on SATURDAY 4th JULY 2020. We shall be serving between 12:00 – 9:00 pm on the weekend of the 4th & 5th July; we expect to change our hours to “normal” service times after that. Please check our website for more details.

Can I still book a table?
Absolutely – you can book online through our website for socially distanced tables inside the pub, in the garden and in the garden kitchen area. Due to the restricted number of tables we are able to offer, please book early to avoid disappointment, and be aware that tables may come with ‘leave by’ times to ensure they are appropriately cleaned and safely ready for the next booking.

Will it be like normal?
We will be aiming to keep the Cott service, atmosphere and experience you have come to expect but we will be adapting to towards a new normal with limited but well-spaced tables, along with some small changes. Our staff will be wearing appropriate PPE and will be trained in line with our updated health and safety policy.

What is required of me?
The most important things that we ask of all our customers:-

– Please do not visit us if you have symptoms of COVID, including a cough and/or a high fever
– Please respect social distancing whilst with us

Can I just turn up without booking?
A limited number of tables will be operating on a first come first served basis, but we advise booking to avoid disappointment.

Do I need to give my name and details on arrival?
We ask that, in order to satisfy NHS track & trace regulations, the party booker ensures that they have contact information for all members in their party.

What are your safety measures?
We have a “COVID-SECURE” certificate of compliance on display. All our procedures and risk assessments have been reviewed and are compliant with all government & PHE guidelines. We have plentiful hand sanitiser stations, in/out spinners for the toilets and rigourous cleaning regimes. Tables have been sited to ensure social distancing can be adhered to as easily as possible. All our team members wear appropriate PPE and have been trained to ensure our service meets all the necessary requirements laid down by the HSE. We have a full complement of signage to reinforce and advise compliance measures throughout the pub.

Will you still be running the takeaway?
The takeaway service continues to run7 days a week between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. We invite you to order online; you can also now book an online delivery.

Can I book a room?

What if I need to cancel?
We may take a 50% deposit at the time of reservation; please note that this is non-refundable, so we recommend all guests take out travel insurance to mitigate against the impact of an unforeseen cancellation.

If we are forced to close due to COVID-19 your booking deposit would be returned or moved as you prefer.
